Airtel Prepaid Mobile in India Complaints – Unfair practices & deficiency of services

Description

I purchased prepaid mobile. The dealer had messed up my dox. Through verification call they asked me o submit the dox again. I submitted the dox again immediately. But Airtel barred my outgoing calls & other VAS without waiting for the dox to reach their HO. Worst part is no one in Airtel knows the exact procedure for a failed verification. Look at the explanations I got from various staffs: 1) If verification fails the connection terminated. No use submitting dox (Airtel Office Manager in Belgaum). 2) Airtel needs 15 days (if u are lucky) to send dox to HO & update records/restore services (Airtel Office staff in Belgaum).3) Connection will be terminated & no refund (Airtel staff in Belgaum). 4) Services will be restored in 3 days of submission (Airtel Call Center staff). 5) You will get another verification call (Airtel Call Center Supervisor) 6, 7, 8, 9, ..n) Application not workingm being updated, currently slow, supervisor not available, etc… (Airtel Call Center staff). In summary Airtel customer services is a horror department. I am sure Mittal & no other senior directors/officers have ever tried to call their own Customer Service Center to check what exactly happens there. Airtel needs to tell/instruct their staff & resellers/agents that all them exist & earn their saleries/incentives/commissions because a customer like me pay & we (customers) deserve decent services!!!

    I am user of Airtel prepaid mobile. previously some two months back my mobile no.8757396699 was blocked and suspended without any pre intimation. Despite several visit to customer care centre at Patna, Maurya Complex and complain to Apellate Authority it was not solved and i was left with no option than force to get another Mobile SIM.I purchased another SIM bearing mobile no.8757082234 on 07/10/2011 by retail outlet on 07/10/2011 and after 4 days i got message to deposit fresh enrollment form and submit valid ID proof which I submitted on 17/10/2011 at customer care centre at near Maurya lok, near Gandhi Maidan ,Patna which acknowledgement i received. Now after 23 days I have got my above mobile no.8757082234 blocked and outgoing/incoming call has been debarred without any preintimation causing a lot of inconvenience. This has been brought to the notice of airtel Appelate authority Ms Lipika who has not satisfactorily replied and only commented that due to TRAI regulation this has bben done.
    This is a serious charge that mobile service providers are cheating the customer in the name of TRAI and are harassing their customers as they are not having proper control on their marketing and regulatory system which caused in repeatedly inconvenience to the customer and undue visit to their customer care centre where too no satisfactorily services is provided.
    The companies are playing unfair trick to bring the customers to there fold primarily then start harassing them in the name of TRAI after 15-20 days when the mobile no. is circulated by the holder / customers in their circle and they have no resort rather that to run pillar to post and repeatedly visit to airtel office to get there number started.
