Beware of fake e-mail on Tax Refund – LHDN.
“We have received numerous calls and email regarding the fake email, which claimed that overpaid income tax of RM700 would be refund to tax payers, ” said an IRB statement Wednesday.
It added that the board did not send out any email using the email address of Tax-Payment@hasil.gov.my.
“This is a fake email and not sent out by the IRB,” the statement said.
It warned the public not to respond to the email.
