Washing machine and dryer Complaints & Reviews – Late delivery
Description
There was a special promotion of a washing machine and a dryer for just under EUR 400. Since I was moving, I placed and order two weeks in advance. Despite there being two weeks between my buying the goods and the delivery date, when the day came, they called me to let me know that they had not received the products. I was quite incensed because it meant that they had sold me something, for which they took my money, while they did not even have the goods in stock. What would have happened if I had wanted the washing machine and the dryer on the spot when my credit card was charged? To make matters worse, they rescheduled the delivery on a Saturday between 8.30 and 11.30 am, when I could not be home. They told me that if I could not be home, then that would be MY problem. According to them, I should find somebody to be in my house. So, just because they were wrong, somebody else had to suffer. Besides, although they told me that I would receive a EUR 15 voucher in compensation for not having gotten my goods on time, that never happened! I like Carrefour, but this shows once again that individual buyers are often being screwed with their eyes wide open by these big concerns.

Dear Complaintscentre,
On a similar note,, Our HOA is threatening to fine us 900 dollars for noise. This is based on the testimony of our upstairs neighbor (single old woman with nothing better to do).
The thing is, we’re not noisy. As I understand it she’s upset that my dryer has a loud buzzer. I totally understood this complaint, it was noisy. I can’t turn it off and have started catching it before it buzzes. That didn’t appease her, now she’s upset I run the washing machine after 10 p.m. and do dishes (I’m in nursing school so my hours are a little weird with clinicals- if I get home late and need a clean pair of scrubs I have to do laundry).
At night i can hear her upstairs watching television and walking around.. I don’t complain. I consider this to be normal noise within our ordinances decibel level. However, because this woman is on the HOA board they’re just going along with it. She even said my husband and I argue.. my husband is a naval officer has been deployed for SEVEN MONTHS (and no, I don’t have a boyfriend.) The police have never been called for anything noise related.. what can I do? This is crap.
